“You Are What You Eat”

I just found this video and it brought chills. Why? This is not something that is new to me. I have known these things since I was a baby. I grew up in a home where Skippy peanut butter was banned, white bread was never seen, and maraschino cherries – I think I wondered if they were illegal.

What is amazing to me is that the rest of the world is starting to realize this. Not that nobody knew before. But it does seem to be being treated a bit like new news.

  1. I am trying to change my family’s diet bit by bit (because it is hard!!!)…every step that I take to better eating is a victory in my eyes…..my four year old is still “moldable” so I am making an extra effort currently.

My recent success is using natural peanut butter and fruit spread instead of preserves, jams or jellies….this summer I might try to make my own!

  2. Sadly, I don’t think people will change for the most part, even if it is to save their life. People are addicted to the way that these things make them feel and is very difficult for them to be different.

  3. A person cannot change or fix something if they don’t know it needs to be fixed. Hopefully, this video will wake people up to the fact that there is something wrong with the food supply.
