It’s a fortunate thing that the Obama administration has made it their mission to promote the use of alternative energy. This opens the doors for more extensive research and development in the area. It also helps that the federal government is offering tax breaks and rebates to companies and individuals that are using alternative energy.
This is a big step for the United States to convert from a fossil-fuel-dependent country into a green one. There are several reasons why this is a good move – going green will lessen the greenhouse gas emission, and further, it will make the country less dependent on oil producing nations.
In the long run, alternative energy sources will be less expensive than the continuous exploration for fossil fuel resources. The country will also not be effected by the erratic oil prices. A green economy will not be at the mercy of the oil barrel …
